Blogrolling.com closes shop with no prior notice
Many thanks to Sheyna Galyan for all of her help in setting up my now-defunct blogroll. It worked very well for almost four years, until Blogrolling.com went out of business.
A tallit-and-tefillin-wearing woman in a traditional Conservative synagogue?! An unorthodox—and non-orthodox—perspective on Jews and Judaism from a perpetual misfit. This blog, welcoming the entire Jewish community, is dedicated to those who take Judaism seriously, but not necessarily literally.

Once upon a time, I belonged to a left-wing egalitarian Conservative synagogue, where I was one of a number of women who wore a tallit—and one of the few members who used an Orthodox prayer book (adding the Mothers, of course). Having moved since then, I now belong to a right-wing traditional Conservative synagogue, where I’m almost always the only woman wearing a tallit—and one of the few members who adds the Mothers. I seem destined to be forever . . . on the fringe.

Blogger has a perfectly serviceable links widget which is what I've been using. You can add it from the layout page.
I've never used a widget, and have no idea how to add one to my layout page. How is this done?
Your public service posts, archives, and about me are all widgets. Even the Blogrolling thing was (I used it briefly)

Choose "Add Gadget" in the area you want it.
Choose Blog List from the pop up that comes up. It will be added to the Design page.

I don't know. I put all the links on my blogroll in manually. Maybe that could be an option for you?
This is what I have, at the moment, under "Edit HTML." What should I do with it?
I'll try to divide the code over several comments, as Blogger doesn't want to post Javascript.

I used an out-of-date Word copy of my defunct blogroll and what little is left of my memory to reconstruct a list of blogs for my new blogroll. I now have 33 URLs all ready to go, saved in Word, if I could just figure out how to "insert" them into my template. Some assistance from the more tech-savvy would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Blink.
My blogroll just magically reappeared.
I'm not holding my breath that it'll stay that way, but it would be nice.
I don't want to spoil the joy but I cannot see it.
Yeah, so I see--or not. :( I have three windows of my blog open at the moment. The blogroll appears in only one, and I've sure it will disappear as soon as I click on "Refresh." This time, I got smart--I just copied my blogroll right off the screen and pasted it into a Word document, so it's now saved for posterity.
Now, to figure out how to reconstruct it when it disappears again.
Sure enough, the blogroll disappeared the minute I published the previous comment. :( It was nice while it lasted.
Read it and weep: I copied this back from Word, but the links don't work in the Word version--all I have are the blog names. :(

I'm sorry you're going through this. I'm not tech savvy either. The widget on blogspot works for me, and the instructions from the previous commenter should work, if you can remember all the blogs on your roll.
Susan, I can't follow Reform BT's instructions because, for whatever reason, my Dashboard doesn't seem to be laid out the way he describes it. There's no link that says "Design," so I clicked on "Template" and looked for an "Add Gadget" link. No such luck. :( Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.
